7-Knot Passion Spell
(this was originally a love spell take from The Book of Shadows for the Solitary Witch by Silver Ravenwolf - pg 522, modified for this ritual)
17 inch pieces of yarn in colors that remind you of the things you want to rekindle your passion for. 2- bells, oil and anything personal you want to add to it.
Instructions: Line your stings of yarn up so that the ends at one end meet up evenly. Tie a knot in the middle of the stings, begin reciting the following spell. Tie three knots on each side of the middle knot until you are finished
With knot of one, this passion's begun
With knot of two, passion shines through
With knot of three passion come to me
With knot of four, my heart will soar
With knot of five, this spell's alive
With knot of six, the passion is fixed
With knot of seven, by blood and kin,
This spell is cast and passion comes in!!
Force and form attend to me
As I will, so mote it be!!
Thread a bell on each end and add personal items if desired. Annoint with Oil (tonight we use Oshun oil from Herbs n Arts), saying:
The breath of the Goddess sparks the flame
True passion lives and knows my name.
You can hang this above your bed, put under you pillow or put on your altar. To reinforce the magic you can bless the bunch for the next seven nights by repeating the last verse over it for those seven nights, the find a permanent home for it on the eighth. Anytime you feel your passion waning or you just feel "blah" take out you chords and remember the magic infused into them. Anytime you lose confidence ring the bells and smell the oil to remind you of the power you have to see the outcome of your desires.
Gracious Goddess as we close our circle we ask that our path always be in your light.
All give personal thanks to the Goddess
